Congratulations to the following Wheat Ridge teams who finished in the top of their age groups.
In the GSLJC League play, Jake Rothstein's Carnations placed 1st and Kenny Haines' Cheetahs finished 2nd in the CP Division and Kathryn Gunderson's Bulldogs placed 2nd in the Intermediate Division.
In the GSLJC Yearend Tournament, the Carnations (Rothstein) finished 1st place and the Cheetahs (Haines) finished 2nd in the CP Division; Cougars (Ryman) finished 3rd in the 12U division; Bulldogs (Gunderson) finished 2nd in the 14U Division and the Rebels (Hampson) finished 3 place in the Senior Division.
Wheat Ridge is very proud of all of their coaches for making the 2017 season successful.

HELP PROMOTE WHEAT RIDGE SOFTBALL! We would like each player to wear their team jersey to school on Friday, March 9. Help us make Wheat Ridge Softball grow. HELP! An Opening Day Ceremony will again be sponsored by the GSLJC to be held on the 1st or 2nd Saturday in May for TB, CP and Modified Kid Pitch. The county is also sponsoring a “Friendship Cup” for the 9U and 10U. Wheat Ridge Girls’ Softball will pay fees for teams to enter the Friendship Cup activity. More information will be available for both of these activities soon.
Softball Day at the Rockies is planned for mid-June. More information coming.
2018 TOURNAMENT: Yearend tournaments for all age groups will be held July 12-15 or July 19-22. We hope families will consider these dates when they are planning their vacations. We would like all players and families to participate in their yearend tournament. Cost of the tournament is part of each player’s registration fee.
PRACTICES/GAMES: Practices start in April and games will start probably the week of May 7.
PICTURE DAY: TBA
UNIFORMS for TB and CP will be jersey, shorts and socks. Cost will be part of registration fee.
UNIFORMS for 8U thru 18U will be the royal/gold jersey, same style royal pants and gold socks.
Jerseys are $22, Pants are $22 and Socks are $6.
UMPIRES: The Girls’ Softball League of Jefferson County has contracted with ASA to umpire games. They are looking for individuals (16 and older) to be trained as umpires. ASA – Nik Mead – commissioner@coloradoASA.org
